Fire Mapping & Management

Since 2014, AVT has been providing high-performance imaging systems for remote sensing of active wildfires in the United States. Our sensors are integrated into UAS and lightweight aircraft to combat the country’s most dynamic and complex fires. Our systems are fitted with Geo-Lock, AVT’s accurate and reliable georeferencing technology, to provide real-time GPS data required for effective fire management and response. 

High definition daylight and crisp thermal imagery is streamed directly to the operator in real time to facilitate informed and rapid response.

Aerial fire mapping is an effective method of gathering valuable information on the characteristics and behaviour of a fire. UAS are becoming increasingly important for fire mapping and management, as they negate the need for an onboard operator, providing a safer solution for aerial fire mapping.
