UAS Vision Reports on the Lockheed Demo of the Desert Hawk


August 8, 2017


The UAS Vision community website reports the U.S. Air Force has funded Lockheed Martin's Desert Hawk UAS project after awarding the firm the contract for the hand-launched UAV with improved power, optical sensors, and airframe structure.  The final demonstration, including the capability for water landing and retrieval, is scheduled for November of 2018.

"Competitive Quadcopter racing has come to Montana."

Over 15 Drone racing competitors turned out at the Big Sky County Fair in Bozeman, Montana, this week to throw down and prove who is the best as part of the Third Annual Bridger Cup Drone Competition. The first-person view each pilot had as they maneuvered their UAV through obstacles allowed each machine to reach speeds up to 90 mph... only the best were victorious.

Ascent Vision Unveils 3-Axis Gyro Stabilized Gimbal

Press Release: Ascent Vision is pleased to announce that its new CM123 imaging system is in the final development phase. The 3-axis gyro stabilized gimbal is an enhanced, more capable version of the popular CM100 system. The CM123, like the CM100, is primarily designed for use on unmanned aircraft.

Press Release: Ascent Vision and MicroPilot announced today that they have recently signed an agreement for Ascent Vision to serve as MicroPilot’s U.S.-based sales representative. Ascent Vision will assist MicroPilot, the leader in professional UAS autopilots, in their global sales efforts.  MicroPilot offers a family of lightweight UAS autopilots that are used on a variety of platforms—fixed wing, helicopter and multi-rotor.
